چکیده

14 The Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) is a well established, distributed, eco15 hydrologic model. However, using the study case of an agricultural intensive irrigated 16 watershed, it was shown that all the model versions are not able to appropriately reproduce the 17 total streamflow in such system when the irrigation source is outside the watershed. The 18 objective of this study was to modify the SWAT2005 version for correctly simulating the 19 main hydrological processes. Crop yield, total streamflow, total suspended sediment (TSS) 20 losses and phosphorus load calibration and validation were performed using field survey 21 information and water quantity and quality data recorded during 2008 and 2009 years in Del 22 Reguero irrigated watershed in Spain. The goodness of the calibration and validation results 23 was assessed using five statistical measures, including the Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency (NSE). 24 Results indicated that the average annual crop yield and actual evapotranspiration estimations 25

Application of SWAT Model to Simulate Nitrate and Phosphate Leaching from Agricultural Lands to Rivers

In the present study, the amount of nitrate and phosphate leaching from agricultural lands into the Zanjanrood River in Iran was simulated using the Soil & Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model. The measured average monthly discharges at the Sarcham station were used to calibrate and validate the SWAT model, and the SWAT Calibration and Uncertainty Program (SWAT-CUP) model was applied to perform t...

Using SWAT and SWAT-CUP for hydrological simulation and uncertainty analysis in arid and semi-arid watersheds (Case study: Zoshk Watershed, Shandiz, Iran)

The aims of this project was to assess the capability of SWAT model and SWAT-CUP software in hydrological simulation and to evaluate the uncertainty of SWAT model in estimating runoff in arid and semi-arid watersheds. Model calibration and uncertainty analysis were performed using the Sequential Uncertainty Fitting (SUFI2) algorithm. In the stage of calibration and validation of water flow, per...

شبیه‌سازی جریان رودخانه با استفاده از مدل SWAT (مطالعه‌ی موردی: ‌رودخانه‌ قره‌سو اردبیل)

Simulation of stream flow, prediction of the hydrological behavior of watersheds and understanding of various components of the hydrological cycle is important in order to plan for protection of water resources. On the other hand, lack of proper estimation of runoff in the watersheds, may cause serious problems in the optimum management of water resources and particularly the utilization o...

River Flow Simulation Using SWAT Physically Based Model in Barandouzchay of Urmia Lake River Basin

Nowadays, there are too many models in the world for simulation of hydrological processes, such as the SWAT physically based model. The SWAT model is a continuous and physically based hydrologic model that is the smallest unit in this model is Hydrologic Response Unit, and all hydrological processes are simulated in each of these units. This model can simulate runoff, sedimentation, erosion and...

Comparison of Single- site and Multi-site Based Calibrations of SWAT in Taleghan Watershed, Iran

Calibration of model is critical for hydrologic modeling of large watersheds in a mountain watershed. In this study Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) used to comparison a single-site calibration procedure that employed streamflow measurement at outlet of watershed to a multi-site calibration method that used streamflow measurements at three stations (Galinak, Joestan and Dehdar). Results sh...
